This lotus glass made of high-quality glass completes ideally kerosene and oil lamps in victorian “Queen-Anne” Style. This architecture and interior design style enjoyed great popularity in England and in America at the end of the 19th century.
The upper part with serrated edge adorns the glass while the lower part of the glass has a particular function: it is designed so that, when it is combined with the right burner or with the so-called Queen-Anne burner, an air draft occurs that forms a flame with an optimum light output. This chimney effect can be reached only if the burner and the glass fit together.
